The rainfall for the month of September at the Botanical Gardens was 11ins. 43 on 15 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 10ins. 28 on 17 days, at Fanling, 12ins. 92 on 17 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 15ins. 75 on 14 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 553 at 17h. 38m. on the 7th. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 65 miles per hour at 22h. 50m. on the 30th.
