It is hereby ordered that a valuation of the tenements in the Colony for the year commencing 1st July, 1935, shall be made before the 30th day of April, 1935, or as soon thereafter as may be.

No. 742.-His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinance :-

Ordinance No. 16 of 1934.-An Ordinance to authorize the Appropriation of a

Supplementary Sum of Twenty-seven thousand two hundred and forty-three Dollars and sixty- seven Cents to defray the Charges of the year 1933.

No. 743.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Dr. THOMAS WALTER WARE, M.B., Ch.B., (Brist.), D.P.H., to act as Port Health Officer and Inspector of Emigrants, during the absence on leave of Dr. JOSEPH PATRICK FEHILY, M.B., B.Ch., B.A.O., F.A.C.S., D.P.H., with effect from 3rd October, 1934.

No. 744.-It is hereby notified that Commander JOSEPH BERNARD NEWILL, D.S.O., R.N. (Retired), resumed duty as Deputy Harbour Master on the 4th October, 1934.

No. 745.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Sir WILLIAM WOODWARD HORNELL, Kt., C.I.E., M.A., to be a Member of the Board of Education for a further period of two years, with effect from the 17th October, 1934.
