12. Births and Deaths Registration Bill.-The Attorney General moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to consolidate and amend the law relating to the Registration of Births and Deaths."

The Colonial Secretary seconded.

Council in Committee on the Bill.

In section 30 the words "Amendment of the Vaccination Ordinance, 1923." were added as a marginal note. In the Second Schedule, Form No. 4 the word "to" was substituted for the word " of" in the sixth line. A new Chinese version of Form No. 4 was substituted. In Form No. 15, the figures '14' were substituted for the figures "11" in the seventh line. In Form No. 19, in the Notice, the word " or was deleted, and the words nationality so far as is known, " were inserted after the word "occupation in the first line of paragraph 7 (4).

On Council resuming, the Attorney General reported that the Bill had passed through Committee with immaterial amendments, and moved that it be read a third time.

The Colonial Secretary seconded.

Question-put and agreed to.

Bill read a third time and passed.

ADJOURNMENT.

13. The Council then adjourned until Thursday, the 23rd day of August, 1934, at

2.30 p.m.
