ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899. (MERCHANT SHIPPING).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 (2) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, the Governor in Council further amends Table E (published by Notification No. 81 in the Gazette of the 9th February, 1934) as follows:-
Amendments.
(1) Regulation 11 is rescinded and the following regula- tion substituted therefor: -
11. Every vessel licensed under these regulations shall, subject to any exemption granted by the Harbour Master, have the name thereof in English and Chinese legibly painted on the stern and on each bow, together with the number, in English, of passengers she is licensed to carry within Harbour limits.
(2) The following regulation is inserted next after regulation 26,-
26A. In any case in which the Harbour Master may consider the provisions of any of these regulations inapplicable or inexpedient, he may grant such modifications or exemptions. as he may consider necessary.
