No. 531.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. HUMPHREY JOHN CRUTTWELL to act as his Private Secretary, with effect from 13th July, 1934.

No. 532.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Dr. THOMAS WALTER WARE to act as Medical Officer of Health, with effect from the 11th July, 1934.

No. 533.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CHARLES HENRY THOMPSON to act as Assistant Shipping Master, with effect from 1st July, 1934.

No. 534. With reference to Government Notification No. 356 of 4th May, 1934, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Commander THOMAS ANDREW HUSSEY, R.N., to be a Member of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Committee, vice Commander CUTHBERT HELSHAM HEATH-CALDWELL, D.S.C., R.N., resigned, with effect from 27th June, 1934.

No. 535.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to recognize, provi- sionally and pending instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, Mr. FERNANDO ALEGRE as Consul-General for Panama in Hong Kong.

No. 536.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN SUTHERLAND MACLAREN to be Senior Assistant Colonial Treasurer with effect from 14th July, 1934.

No. 537.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. ERIC HIMSWORTH to be Deputy Estate Duty Commissioner and Assistant Colonial Treasurer in addition to his other duties, with effect from 16th July, 1934.
