ORDINANCE No. 1 of 1903. (PUBLIC HEALTH! AND BUILDINGS).

WHEREAS by section 78 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, except as by the said Ordinance. provided, the sale and exposure for sale in any place not being a public market of any articles of food for man usually, dist sold or exposed for sale in a public market is prohibited within the City of Victoria and the Harbour, and in Kowloon and in New Kowloon, and in the villages of Shaukiwan and Quarry Bay, and in such other villages as shall be named in any Government Notification AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to name the village of Pokfulam NOW, therefore, by this Government Notification the village of Pokfulam is hereby named pursuant to the said section 78 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, and for the purposes of the said section and the prohibition therein contained.

AT THE COURT AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE,

THE 14TH DAY OF MAY, 1934.

PRESENT,

THE KING'S MOST EXCELLENT MAJESTY IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Section 37 of the Merchant Shipping (Safety and Load Line Conventions) Act, 1932, it is enacted that His Majesty, if satisfied that the Government of any country has ratified the Safety Convention, may, by Order in Council, make a declaration to that effect:

And whereas His Majesty is satisfied that the Government of the Irish Free State has ratified the Safety Convention:

Now, therefore, is Majesty, in pursuance of the powers vested in Him by the aforesaid section and of all other powers enabling Him in that behalf, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, is pleased to declare and doth hereby declare that the Government of the Irish Free State has ratified the Safety Convention.
