No. 498. - His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN SUTHERLAND MACLAREN to act as District Officer in the Southern District of the New Territories in addition to his other duties, with effect from 26th June, 1934.

No. 499.--His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to authorise Mr. JOHN SUTHERLAND MACLAREN, a Magistrate, under the provisions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court, as mentioned in the said section, at the undermentioned places in the New Territories (exclusive of New Kowloon) in addition to the court-house at the office of the District Officer for the Southern District of the New Territories in the building known as St. George's Building" and situate at the corner of Chater Road and Ice House Street, Victoria, in this Colony, and so long as he shall hold the office of District Officer for the Southern District of the New Territories.

No. 500. It is hereby notified that the Convention between the United Kingdom and Denmark regarding Legal Proceedings in Civil and Commercial Matters which was. signed at London on the 29th November, 1932, has been extended to this Colony as from the 27th March, 1934.
A copy of the Convention may be seen on application at this Office.

No. 501. It is hereby notified that the Extradition Acts, 1870 to 1906, have been applied in the case of Denmark in accordance with a Treaty of the 31st March, 1873, and a Convention for the suppression of the white slave traffic of the 4th May, 1910, to Hong Kong and other parts of His Majesty's dominions by the Extradition (Denmark) (White Slave Traffic) Order in Council, 1934, which came into operation on the 28th May, 1934, and which appeared in the London Gazette of the 18th May, 1934.
The text of the Order follows, mutatis mutandis, that of an Order relating to Cuba. and other States which appeared in the Hong Kong Government Gazette of the 16th October, 1931, as Government Notification No. 654.
