The rainfall for the month of May at the Botanical Gardens was 6ins. 89 on 8 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 4ins. 93 on 9 days, at Fanling, 4ing. 43 on 7 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 5ins. 35 on 7 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 639 at 16h. 38m. on the 23rd. The maximum squall velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 46 miles per hour at 8h. 23m. on the 29th.
