1. The Council met pursuant to adjournment. His Excellency the Governor

occupied the Chair.

2. The Minutes of the Meeting held on the 5th April, 1934, were confirmed.

3. The Honourable the Officer Commanding the Troops, (Brigadier GAWAINE BASIL ROWAN-HAMILTON, D.S.O., M.C.), the Honourable the Attorney General, (Mr. ROGER EDWARD LINDSELL), the Honourable Mr. THOMAS HENRY KING, (Acting Inspector General of Police), and the Honourable Mr. JOHN OWEN- HUGHES took the Oath of Allegiance and assumed their seats as Members of the Council.

Regulations made by the Governor in Council under sections 3 and 5 of the Tobacco Ordinance, 1931, Ordinance No. 39 of 1931, relating to Drawbacks in the 1st Schedule to the said Ordinance, dated 11th April, 1934. Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 23 of the Water- works Ordinance, 1903, Ordinance No. 16 of 1903, relating to charges for excess water consumption, dated 11th April, 1934.

Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Post Office Ordinance, 1926, Ordinance No. 7 of 1926, relating to the posting of insured boxes to Great Britain, etc., dated 11th April, 1934.

Rescission of the Order made by the Governor in Council on the 16th January, 1934, under the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, Ordinance No. 10 of 1899, dated 13th April, 1934.

Regulation made by the Governor in Council under section 210 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, Ordinance No. 1 of 1903, relating to additional hours for blasting, dated 17th April, 1934.

Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Miscel- laneous Licences Ordinance, 1933, Ordinance No. 25 of 1933, relating to hawkers on board ships, dated 17th April, 1934.

Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 23 of the Water-

works Ordinance, 1903, Ordinance No. 16 of 1903, dated 1st May, 1934. Regulation made by the Governor in Council under section 36 (12) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, Ordinance No. 10 of 1899, dated 1st May, 1934.

Order made by the Governor in Council under the third subsection of section 30 of the Tobacco Ordinance, 1931, Ordinance No. 39 of 1931, dated 2nd May, 1934.
