APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 373.-Ilis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, the Honourable Mr. CHARLES GORDON STEWART MACKIE to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council, in place of the Honourable Sir HENRY EDWARD POLLOCK, Kt., K.C., LL.D., who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect from 4th May, 1934.

No. 374.-- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, the Honourable Mr. JOHN OWEN HUGHES to be temporarily au Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council, in place of the Honourable Sir HENRY EDWARD POLLOCK. Kt., K.C., LL.D., who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect from 4th May, 1934.

No. 375.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN BARROW to act as Superintendent of Imports and Exports in addition to his other duties during the absence on leave of Mr. JOHN DANIEL LLOYD, or until further notice, with effect from the 9th May, 1934.

No. 376.-Ilis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS HENRY KING, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, temporarily to be at Member of the Legislative Council, during the absence on leave of the Honourable Mr. EDWARD DUDLEY CorsCaden Wolfe, C.M.G., with effect from the 1st May, 1934.

No. 377.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. DONALD BURLINGHAM to act as Deputy Inspector General of Police until further notice, with effect from the 1st May, 1934.

No. 378. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WILLIAM ARTHUR CORNELL to be a Member of the Authorized Architects Consulting Committee, vice Colonel LENNOX GODFREY BIRD, D.S.Ö.. O.B.E., resigned.

No. 379. With reference to Government Notification No. 88 of 9th February, 1934, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CHARLES CROSBY KNIGHT to be a Member of the Committee to administer the Mercantile Marine Assistance Fund of Hong Kong, vice the Honourable Mr. JOHN JOHNSTONE PATERSON, resigned, with effect from the 4th May, 1934.
