APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 264. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to make under section 9 of the regulations of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, the following appointments in the Naval Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 28th March, 1934 :-

JAMES PETRIE, Esq., to be Probationary Lieutenant.

ROBERT STOCK, Esq., to be Probationary Lieutenant.

EDWARD GROSSMAN, Esq., to be Probationary Paymaster Sub-Lieutenant.

No. 265.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS EDWARD JACKSON to be an Examiner for Certificates of Competency for First and Second Class Engineers, with effect from the 24th March, 1934.

No. 266. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JAMES JOSEPH HAYDEN to be Official Receiver in Bankruptcy and Registrar of Trade Marks and Letters Patent, with effect from 4th April, 1934.

No. 267.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under the provisions of the Statute 4 of the Second Schedule of the University Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 10 of 1911, to nominate the following as Members of the Court of the University of Hong Kong for a period of three years, with effect from 5th April, 1934 :---

No. 268. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. ERNEST PHILIP HENRY LANG to act as Registrar, Supreme Court, Registrar of Companies, Official Administrator and Official Trustee, with effect from 7th April, 1934.

No. 269.-It is hereby notified that at the expiration of three months from the date hereof the name of the COLEMAN COMMERCIAL COMPANY, LIMITED will, unless cause is shown to the contrary, be struck off the register and the company will be dissolved.
