No. 234.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Captain REGINALD DAVID WALKER, M.C., to act as Manager and Chief Engineer of the Kowloon- Canton Railway, with effect from 24th March, 1934.

No. 235.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, provi- sionally, and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, Mr. JOHN JOHNSTONE PATERSON to be an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council in succession to Mr. BENJAMIN DAVID FLEMING BEITH.

No. 236-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under the provisions of the Statute 4 of the Second Schedule of the University Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 10 of 1911, to nominate Mr. CHARLES CROSBY KNIGHT as a member of the Court of the University of Hong Kong for a period of three years, with effect from 29th March, 1934.

No. 237.-lis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the Honourable Mr. Ts'o SEEN-WAN, Ö.B.E., LL.D., and the Reverend FRANK SHORT as Mem- bers of the Board of Education for a further period of two years, with effect from the 9th April, 1934.

No. 238. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. HUGH BLACKWELL. LAYARD DOWBIGGIN, O.B.E., to be a Member of the Board of Education for a further period of two years, with effect from the 15th April, 1934.

No. 239. With reference to Government Notification No. 219 of 10th April, 1931, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CHARLES CROSBY KNIGHT to be a Member of the Harbour Advisory Committee, vice Mr. ALLAN CAMERON, resigned, with effect from 29th March, 1934.
