No. S. 73.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quintuplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tenders for removing the existing Kerosene Motors from Motor Boats H.D. 5 and H.D. 6 and replacing same with a suitable type", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, 3rd day of March, 1933.
PARTICULARS.
1. COLD START HIGH SPEED OIL ENGINES of approved make and power complete with shafting, propellers, stern tubes, service tanks, overhead head exhausts, and sea connections.
2. The Stern posts, dead wood, engine bearers, etc., to be renewed to suit new shaft alignment. All hull planks and parts removed to facilitate altera- tions renewed as found necessary.
3. H.D. 5. To have awning canvas removed and replaced with 2 ply canvas.
Awning wood work and windows to be overhauled.
H.D. 6. The present canvas awning to be removed and replaced with a
light wooden 2 ply canvas covered awning abaft the wheel house.
Engine makers to supply propeller to suit launches lines and engine
rating.
Old motors and gear in connection therewith to be retained by Govern-
ment.
Prices for each item and weights of propelling units tendered must be given.
A further list of work may be obtained at the Government Marine Surveyors Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
The work to be carried out to the satisfaction of the Government Marine Surveyor, and to be duly completed within the number of working days specified by the tender to commence from the date of handing over of the launch to tenderers for repair; failing completion within such time deduction will be made from the contract price, by way of liquidated damages for delay, at the rate of $15 for each and every subsequent day until and including the date of due completion of the work.

No. S. 74. It is hereby notified that the following Sale of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the District Office, South, Hong Kong, at 11 a.m., on Friday, the 3rd day of March, 1933.
The Lot is sold for the term of Seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 24 years less 3 days at a re-assessed Crown Rent as a Building Lot, subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notification No. 570 of 1924 as amended by Government Notification No. 470 of 1931, and to Special Condition No. 2 (a) and (b).
The amount to be spent in rateable improvements to the satisfaction of the District Officer, South, within two years from the date of sale is $2,500.
