The rainfall for the month of October at the Botanical Gardens was 3ins. 27 on 10 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 2ins. 34 on 6 days, at Fanling, 1in. 75 on 4 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 2ins. 62 on 6 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 800 at 16h. 00m on the 19th. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 58 miles per hour at 12h. 30m. on the 1st.
