EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

ORDINANCE No. 15 of 1922. (WILD BIRDS).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Wild Birds Ordinance, 1922, the Governor in Council hereby further amends the Schedule to the said Ordinance as follows:-

Amendments.

(1) Regulation 2 is rescinded and the following regula- tion is substituted therefor :-

Close season.

2. The close season for the purposes of section 7 of the said Ordinance shall be the period extending in any year from the 1st day. of February to the 15th day of October, both days inclusive, for the protection of partridges and quail, and the period extending from the 1st day of March to the 14th day of September, both days inclusive, for the protection of pigeons and doves.

(2) The form of game licence is amended by the substitution, in the specification of the permitted time relevant to pigeons and doves, of "15th September" for "16th October".

APPOINTMENT.

No. 507. His Majesty the KING has been pleased to approve the provisional appointment of the Honourable Commander JOSEPH BERNARD NEWILL, D.S.O., R.N., (Retired), to be temporarily an Official Member of the Legislative Council in the place of the Honourable Commander GEORGE FRANCIS HOLE, R.N., (Retired), who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect from 14th March, 1933.
