No. 284.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under the provisions of section 10 of the Medical Registration Ordinance, 1884, Ordinance No. 1 of 1884, Dr. JOHN CECIL MACGOWN to be a Member of the Medical Board during the absence from the Colony of Dr. JAMES WILLIAM ANDERSON or until further notice, with effect from 25th March, 1933.

No. 285.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased. to appoint Lieutenant WILLIAM JOHN ROPO CRAGG, 1st Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, to be one of his Honorary Aides-de-Camp, with effect from 28th April, 1933.

No. 286.-It is hereby notified that Monsieur DUFAURE DE LA PRADE, Consul General for France in Hong Kong resumed charge of the French Consulate, on 12th April, 1933.

No. 287.--It is hereby notified that during the absence on leave of Mr. H. VANDER STRAETEN, Consul-General for Belgium in Hong Kong, Mr. ALBERT HOUYET will be in charge of the Belgium Consulate-General.

No. 288. It is hereby notified that Senor Don PATRICIO SMART-FABRES, Consul for Chile in Hong Kong resumed charge of the Chilean Consulate, on 27th April, 1933.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

THE PENSIONS ORDINANCE, 1932.

The notification of pensionable offices pursuant to sec- tion 2 (b) (i) of the above mentioned Ordinance, published as Notification No. 781 in the Gazette of the 9th December, 1932, is revised and amended as follows:-

(1) Under FIRE BRIGADE —

(a) "Deputy Superintendent and Inspection Officer is substituted for "Inspection. Officer"; and

(b) "Fourth Officer is substituted for "Assist-

ant Engineer and Station Officer".

(2) Under POLICE-the following is added:-

Barrack Sergeants.

(3) Under EDUCATION DEPARTMENT-

The name M. L. Whitley is deleted from the entry "Mistresses on dollar salaries."
