No. 270.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under the provisions of paragraph 8 of Statute 4 of the Second Schedule of the University Ordi- nance, 1911, Ordinance No. 10 of 1911, Mr. LEWIS NEWTON MURPHY to act as a Member of the Court of the University of Hong Kong, during the absence on leave of Mr. VANDELEUR MOLYNEUX GRAYBURN, with effect from 21st April, 1933.

No. 271.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to make the following appointments in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps :-

No. 1401 Sapper F. W. T. Ross, Engineer Company, to be Second Lieutenant,

with effect from 6th April, 1933.

No. 1914 Sergeant A. E. BATES, Anzac Company, to be Second Lieutenant, with

effect from 10th April, 1933.

No. 272. His Majesty the KING has been pleased to approve the appointment of the Honourable Mr. José PEDRO BRAGA to be an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council for a further period of four years, with effect from the 17th January, 1933.

No. 273-His Majesty the KING has been pleased to approve the appointment of the Honourable Mr. Ts'o SEEN-WAN, O.B.E., LL.D., to be an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council for a further period of four years, with effect from the 17th January, 1933.

No. 274. It is hereby notified that during the absence on leave of Mr. CARLOS AUGUSTO DA ROZA, Acting Consul-General for Portugal in Hong Kong, Mr. PEDRO VICENTE BOTELHO will be in charge of the Portuguese Consulate-General.
