ORDINANCE No. 40 of 1912. (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC REGULATION).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912, the Governor in Council further amends the regulations made under the said Ordinance and published as Notification No. 50 in the Gazette of the 29th January, 1932, by the rescission of regulation 129 and the substitution of the following regulation therefor :—

129. The fare for the hiring of a motor cab fitted with a taxi-meter shall be according to the following scale :---

Hong Kong.

(1) For a distance not exceeding one mile.................$0.50

(2) Exceeding one mile, for each quarter of a

mile in excess

0.10

(3) Waiting time with meter shut off, for each

period of five minutes

0.10

Kowloon.

LARGE CABS.

(1) For a distance not exceeding one mile................ 0.40

(2) Exceeding one mile, for each quarter of a

mile in excess

0.10

(3) Waiting time with meter shut off, for each

period of five minutes

0.10

SMALL CABS.

(1) For a distance not exceeding one mile...... 0.30

(2) Exceeding one mile, for each quarter of a

mile in excess

0.05

(3) Waiting time with meter shut off, for each

period of five minutes

0.05
