PRISON DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 294.-It is hereby notified with reference to Government Notification No. 698 of 1900, that separate tenders in duplicate for the supply of the Articles therein mentioned, from the 1st February, 1911, to the 31st January, 1912, inclusive, will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 30th December, 1910.
No tender will be considered, unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $400 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender.
For form of tender apply at the Colonial Secretary's Office.
For any other information apply at the Office of the Assistant Superintendent, Prison Department.
The successful tenderer will be required to sign an agreement and to give security to the satisfaction of the Government in the sum of $2,000.

HARBOUR OF REFUGE.
Obstructions to Navigation.
No. S. 295.-It is hereby notified that groups of piles are being driven to define the area within which stone is to be deposited to form the breakwater in connection with the above.
The breakwater will commence at a point about 970 feet south by east of the south- western corner of Kowloon Marine Lot No. 32, and will terminate at point about 850 feet west by north of the north-western corner of Kowloon Marine Lot No. 49. During the day-time, ropes displaying pieces of coloured bunting will be stretched across the line of the breakwater between the group of piles for the guidance of craft depositing stone. Between the hours of sunset and sunrise, a red light will be displayed on each group of niles.
