No. 85 Des Vœux Road West, Victoria in the Colony of Hongkong and of No. 157 Rua Nova D'El Rei in the Portuguese Colony of Macao and also of Canton, Konginoon and Song Sui Hau in the District of San Ui in the Province of Kwong Tang in the Empire of China have on the 3rd day of August 1910 applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Marks:-

(1.) The representation of two phoenixes

facing each other with the sun and clouds in the centre surrounded by an ornamental border consisting of figures of Chinese men and women, animals, flowers, e, with the name Chan Tin Chong' Ou the top thereof and the Chinese characters

(2.) The Chinese characters ̈ ̈ on a scroll depicted among the repre- sentation of Chinese men and women, animals, flowers, ke.

(3.) The representation of the shop and terrace of the Chan Tin Cheong firm

Macao aforesaid showing the assistants and customers of the 6rm. The whole surrounded by an orna- mental border,

(1.) The representation of a Chinese lady and two Chinese male figures: above the said mark are the characters:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Barrish NOTICE is hereby given that the BRITISH

CIGARETTE COMPANY. LIMITED. (a Company registered nuder the Laws of Hong, kong), of No. 18 Bank Buildings, Hongkong, and No. 22 Museum Road, Shanghai, Chino, Tobacco Manufacturers have, on the 9th day of July 1910, applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Frade Mark: -

The Trade Mark consists of a panel show- ing two pyramis at the foot, and at the top is seen an imitation chud effect. the the top left hand of the panel a bird is shown in the act of flying to the ground. Over the whole panel a inttice-work is drawH. to which are attached a number of flower blossoms.

On the left side of the panel, the name of the Company in Chinese characters

side. The name of the brand in Chinese and Japanese respec- tively is depicted,

in the unme of the BRITISH CIGARETTE COMPANY, LIMITED, (a Company registered under the Laws of Hongkong), of No. 18 Bank Buildings. Hongkong, and so.22 Museum Road. Shanghai, China. Tobacco Manufac- turers, who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the Applicants forthwith in respect of the following goods :-

Manufactured Tobacco, in Class 45.

With reference to this mark the applicants disclaim all right to the exclusive use of the ornamental border or other added matter thereto.
