A BILL

ENTITLED

An Ordinance to amend the Pharmacy Amend-

ment Ordinance, 1910.

BE it enneted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pharmacy Further Amendment Ordinance. 1910.

2. Section 3 of the Pharmacy Amendment Ordinance, 1910, shall be re-numbered section 3 (1) and there shall be Ordinance 9 added to it the following sub-section : --

of 1910,

(2.) The expression Police Officer in this section shall be deemed to include any Revenue Officer holding a warrant under section 27 of the Liquors Ordinance, 1909, or under any Ordinance amending the same."

The Pharmacy Amendment Ordinance, 1910, authorises searches with warrants by Police Officers. The Bill proposes to include in the power of search Revenne Officers who hold a warrant under the Liquors Ordinance, 1909,

An Ordinance to amend the Malicious Dange

Amendment Ordinance, 1910.

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Malicious Short title and

Damage Further Amendment Ordinance, 1910, and shall construction. be read and construed as one with the Malicious Damage Ordinance, 1855, and with the Malicious Damage Amendment Ordinance, 1910, and this Ordinauce and the said Ordinances may be cited together as the Malicious Damage Ordinances, 1861-1910. Any copy of the said Malicious Damage Amendra-nt Ordinance, 1910, printed after the commencement of this Orain mee may be printed with the addition and amendment made by this Ordinance,

section 5 of Ordinance No. 10 of 1910.

2. The Proviso to section 5 of the Malicious Damage Amendment Ordinance, 1910, is hereby amended as follows:-

(1.) By the deletion of the word "judicial" in the

eighth line thereof.

(2.) By the addition at the end thereof of the

following paragraph

For the purposes of any such inquiry the said officers shall have all the powers of commissioners appointed under the Commissioners Powers Ordinance, 1886 ”

Memorandum.

This Bill amends the Malicious Damage Amendment Ordinance, 1910, so as to give the officers holding an inquiry under section 5 sufficient powers including, e.g., the power to enforce the attendance of witnesses, examine them upon oath, &c.
