NOTICES TO MARINERS.

AMUR RIVER.

I have received the following information from the Imperial Russian Consul :—

A Signal Station has been established on Point Telmyrrakh (Chnuirrakh Point) Latitude 53° 4' N. Longitude 140° 53′ E. in the approach to Nikolaievsk, Amur River. All passing vessels must report themselves by signal, and reply when hailed.

Uncharted Rock off Goat Island, Honghai Bay.

NOTICE is hereby given that an uncharted rock, covered 10 feet at low water of spring tides, is situated with the south-eastern extremity of Goat Island bearing N. 54° E. (mag- netic), distant 2·3 cables.

HARBOUR NOTIFICATION.

No. 8 of 1910.

Alteration in character of Aids to Navigation in the Astrea Channel, Woosung.

NOTICE is hereby given that on or about the 16th instant, the oil-lighted buoy, painted black and showing a fixed red light, now marking the port side of the fairway in the Astræva Channel for vessels inward bound, will be replaced by an incandescent gas-buoy, painted black, and showing an occulting red light every 8 seconds, thus :--4 seconds light, 4 seconds eclipse.

The four light-boats now marking the starboard side of the fairway for vessels inward bound will be replaced by four incandescent gas-buoys painted red, and showing an occult- ing white light every 8 seconds, thus :-4 seconds light, 4 seconds eclipse.

The new buoys will be numbered I, II, III, IV and V respectively, commencing from the lower end.
