WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

North-West Coast.

NOTICE is hereby given that on and after the 13th December, 1909, an Unattended, Dioptric, Fixed, Occulting Light of the Fourth Order will be exhibited from a steel tower (open braced) erected on centre of Bedout Island, Latitude 19 deg. 35 min. South, Longi tude 119 deg. 6 min. East, the height of the focal plane above high water being 66 feet, and visible in clear weather about 14 miles.

Special attention is drawn to the fact that the Light is unwatched, and therefore Ship- masters are cautioned against placing too much reliance on same.

No. 1055-Bedout Island to Cape Cuvier. No. 1048-Buccaneer Archipelago to Bedout.

SOUTTAR POINT.

MASTERS of vessels and others are hereby informed that a Pile Beacon, painted Red with circular head, has been placed in 7 ft. at L.W.S. on the Eastern side of the One-fathom Shoal Patch west of Souttar Point. This beacon is placed as a guide to the sheltered anchorage on the South-eastern side of the Shoal.

Approximate position-Lat., 34° 53′ S.; long., 137° 11′ E.

This affects Admiralty chart No. 2389a.

LIPSON COVE.

Further, that a Haul-off Buoy, painted Black, has been placed about 60 fathoms N.E. from the end of the Lipson Cove jetty in 16 ft. at L.W.S. The Buoy is attached to an anchor to North-eastward, and has a small chain to the jetty to keep it in position.

Approximate position-Lat., 34° 15′ S.; long., 136° 15′ E.

This affects Admiralty chart No. 2389b.

Unwatched Lights.

POINT FANNY.

MASTERS of vessels and others are hereby notified that an unwatched fixed White Light, visible all round, except where obscured by the land, has been established at Point Fanny, the south point of Boston Island, and exhibited from a skeleton iron tower. It is placed 300ft. north from L.W. mark at the Point, at an elevation of about 25ft., and should be visible in clear weather at a distance of about 10 miles.

Approximate position-Lat., 34° 44′ S.; long., 135° 55′ E.
