NOTICES TO MARINERS.
I HAVE received the following information from the Imperial Russian Consul. It is a precis of a Notice issued by the Harbour Master at Vladivostock :
A service of sworn pilots has been organised to pilot vessels between Askold Island and the roadstead of Vladivostock, in and out, and within the roadstead. Vessels requiring pilots on arrival should enter Navezdnik Bay, Askold Island. hoist the pilot flag.

NORTH CHANNEL ENTRANCE TO THE YANGTZE.
Decrease in Depth in Neighbourhood of Shaweishan.
NOTICE is hereby given that recent soundings show that there is less water in the neighbourhood of Shaweishan than is indicated on the latest charts.
Pending further surveying work the following information is supplied :-
At low water of spring tides a vessel passing to the westward and northward of Shaweishan on the customary courses may get into 13 feet of water; a vessel passing to the southward of and within a mile of Shaweishan may get into 15 feet of water; a vessel passing to the southward and at a distance of about 2 miles will get from 17 to 18 feet of water.

NOTICE is hereby given that. Okino-su Lightbuoy on the north side of Okino-su, Shiaku- seto, Inland Sea, has drifted about 1 cables eastward from its moorings.

MASTERS of vessels and others are hereby notified that an unwatched light has been established on the highest point of Wardang Island, showing all round a white flash every 3 seconds; the duration of the flash is second and eclipse 2,7, seconds. The height of the focal-plane' is 116 ft., and the light should be visible in clear weather for a distance of about 16 miles.
