No. S. 1.-It is hereby notified that, in accordance with the terms of The Rating: Ordinance, No. 6 of 1901, Owners and Occupiers of Tenements are reminded that Rates for the 1st Quarter of 1910 are payable in advance on or before the 31st January, 1910.
If any person shall fail to pay such Rates on or before the 28th February, 1910, prc ceedings will be taken in the Supreme Court for their recovery without further notice.
No Refund of Rates on vacant tenements will be granted unless such Rates have been paid during and within the month of January, nor unless application is made for such refund within fifteen days from the expiration of the Quarter.

No. S. 2. It is hereby notified that information has been received from the Military Authorities that Gun Practice (Movable Armament) will be carried out as under:-
On the 7th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th January, 1910:-
From Eagle's Nest in a Northerly direction, commencing at 9 a.m.
On the 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th January, 1910:--
From Boa Vista in a direction of from South-East to South-West commenc-
ing at 10 a.m.
If the weather is unfavourable on any of the above dates, practice will take place on the following day.
All ships, junks and other vessels are to keep clear of the range.

THE Correct spelling of the name of the Lighthouse referred to in paragraph 2 of this Office Notice to Mariners, No. 32 of 1909, dated 13th September 1909, is "COTTA" Point and not " KOTTA" Point.
