No. 314-The King's Exequatur empowering Mr. ADÃO MARIA DE Lourdes Soares to act as Consul of Bolivia at Hongkong has received His Majesty's signature.

No. 315.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint ROBERT BAKER to act as Chief Resident Engineer and Manager of the Kowloon- Canton Railway, British Section, during the absence from the Colony of EDWARD SERGINT LINDSEY or until further notice, with effect from this date.

An Act to provide for the Administration of the Government in case the Crown should descend to any issue of His Majesty while such issue shall be under the age of eighteen years, and for the care and guardianship of such issue.

HEREAS Your Majesty, by Your Majesty's Royal message to both Houses of Parliament, has been pleased to recommend that provision should be made for a Regency in certain events:

Now therefore we, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and the Commons, in l'arliament assembled, do most humbly beseech Your Majesty that it be enacted, and be it enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and the Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :-
1.(1) If on the demise of His present Majesty (whom God long preserve) Queen Mary any child of His Majesty succeeds to the Crown whilst under the age of eighteen years, Her Majesty Queen Mary shall be the guardian, and have the care and tuition of such child until the child attain the age of eighteen years, and until that time shall have the disposition, ordering, and management of all matters and things relating thereto.
(2) Her Majesty Queen Mary shall, until such child attain the age of eighteen years and no longer, have full power and authority in the name of such child and in the stead of such child, and under the style and title of "the Regent" to exercise and administer according to the laws and constitution thereof, the Royal power and government of this realm, and all the dominions, countries, and territories belonging to the Crown thereof, and use, exercise, and perform all prerogatives, authorities, and acts of government and administration of
