SIR,- With reference to my despatch "Miscellaneous" of the 13th of May last, I have the honour to transmit to you the accompanying copies of the Prospectus of the Bulletin of the Committee of Entomological Research (Tropical Africa), which was appointed last year, together with specimen plate and pages,* and copy of the subscription slip.

2. The Committee, which is working under the Presidency of the Earl of Cromer, is composed of the following experts in tropical medicine and entomology :-

3. Although the work of the Committee is confined, at all events for the present, to research in Tropical Africa, its publications will no doubt be of value to all who are interested in entomology in other parts of the world.

4. I shall therefore be glad if you will take such steps as you may cousider expedient to make the Bulletin known as widely as possible in the Colony, both through the Heads of Government Departments and to the non-official element through the local Press.

5. As stated in the Prospectus it is proposed to issue four or more parts a year, the subscription being fixed at 10- for the first year, while copies of the separate parts may be obtained, if it is so desired. All subscriptions and communications on the subject of the Bulletin should be sent to Mr. GUY MARSHALL, Scientific Secretary to the Committee, at the British Museum of Natural History, Cromwell Road, London.
