SECURITY FOR PROBATE DUTY, ETC.-The Colonial Secretary addressed the Council and moved the approval of the Rule and Order made by the Chief Justice under the provi- sions of the Probates Ordinance, 1897.

QUESTION.---- Mr. STEWART, pursuant to notice, asked the following Question :—
In view of the numerous steamers now anchoring off West Point, and the fact that officers and men of the Mercantile Marine find difficulty in engaging sam- pans in that neighbourhood, will the Government consider the advisability of erecting near the Sailor's Home a light bamboo pier, to serve as a recognised landing place under police control?
