No. 759.-It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 14th December, 1909, for the sole privilege of slaughtering animals for the food of man within any part of the villages of Sham-shui-po, Kau-lung-tsai, Kau-lung-tong, Sai-kok, Wong-uk, Ap-ma-liu, Sheung-ko-wai, Ngau-liu, Tai-kok-tsui, Cheung-sha-wan, Sheung-li-uk, Pak-shu-leung, Wong-uk, Chiu-liu, Ma-lung-kung, Ap-liu, and Fuk-tsun-heung, for the period of one year, from the 1st January next.

For specification, and full particulars, apply at this Office.

No tender will be considered, unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Treasury the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer.

The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract containing conditions to be prescribed by the Board and also to give security to the satisfaction of His Excellency the Governor in the sum of $1,000: failing compliance with these requirements the sum deposited by the tenderer will be forfeited.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.

No. 760.-It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 14th December, 1909, for the sole privilege of slaughter- ing animals for the food of man within any part of the villages of Shaukiwan, Sai Wan Ho, Quarry Bay and Tsat Tse Mui, for the period of one year, from the 1st January next.

No tender will be considered, unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Treasury the sum of $75 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer.

The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract containing conditions to be prescribed by the Board and also to give security to the satisfaction of His Excellency the Governor in the sum of $500: failing compliance with these requirements the sum deposited by the tenderer will be forfeited.
