No. 629.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, with the approval of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint CYRIL FRANCIS WOGAN BOWEN-ROWLANDS to be Secretary of the Sanitary Board, with effect from the 21st September, 1909.

No. 630. The Honourable Mr. FRANCIS HENRY MAY returned to the Colony on the 7th instant and resumed duty as Colonial Secretary.

No. 631-It is hereby notified that the following fees will be payable to the Sanitary Department for the removal of a private patient in an ambulance in Kowloon :-
(1.) A fee of $2 for any such removal to or from any private residence in Old
Kowloon, Kowloon City, and Shamshuipo.
(2.) A fee of $3 for any such removal to or from any private residence in New
Kowloon excluding the places above mentioned.
(3.) A fee of $5 for any such removal to or from any private residence in the
New Territories North of the Kowloon Hills.

No. 633.-The following Finding of the Court of Enquiry into the conduct of R. H. Ferguson, Engineer of the S.S. Persia, is published.
FINDING.
We find you ROBERT HENRY FERGUSON Certificate as 1st Class Engineer No. 33,341 of Glasgow, guilty of gross misconduct on September 2nd and 3rd on board the British Steamship Persia Official No. 84,164 of Liverpool by being in a filthy state of drunkenness and so as to be incapable of carrying out your duty, thereby causing serious delay and expense to your owners, the ship having to anchor and communicate again with Hong- kong, so as to get you relieved before proceeding on her voyage.
We therefore order your Certificate as 1st Class Engineer to be suspended for one year. Given under our hands at Victoria in the Colony of Hongkong this Eighth day of October, 1909.
