No. 587.-It is hereby notified that the following Sales of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the District Land Office, Tai Po, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, the 25th day of September, 1909.
The Lots are sold for the term of Seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 24 years less 3 days at a re-assessed Crown Kent, Lot No. 1276 as a Threshing Floor and Lot No. 745 as a Building Lot, subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notification No. 365 of 1906. Lot No. 1276 is further subject to the special condition hereunder specified.
The amount to be spent in rateable improvements under the General Condition No. 5 on Lot No. 745 is $100.

MEDICAL DEPARTMENT.
No. 588.—It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until noon of Saturday, the 16th October, 1909, for the supply of Aerated Waters; Bedding and Clothing: Beers, Spirits, Wines, etc.; Chemical, Drugs, and Surgical Instru- ments and Sundries; Furniture, etc. Milk, etc.; Provisions, Sundries; and Washing; (Schedules Nos. 1 to 9) required locally, to this Department, for the period of one year, from the 1st of January next inclusive.
Tenders may be made for all the niue Schedules or for each separately.
Tenders must be in duplicate and in sealed envelopes, endorsed "Tender for Medical Department Contract ”.
No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Treasury the sum of $200, as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person refuses to carry out his tender should the tender be accepted.
