With reference to Government Notification No. 96 of the 12th February, 1909, notice is hereby given that His Majesty's Minister at Copenhagen has been notified by the Danish Foreign Minister that Hongkong Trade Marks are now accorded protection in Iceland under a Danish Royal Decrce dated 3rd June, 1909.

GENERAL POST OFFICE.
No. 585.-It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until noon of Monday, the 27th September, 1909, for the making up and supply of clothing for the use of the General Post Office, Hongkong, for one year.
For further particulars apply at this Office.
Tenderers must produce a receipt that they have deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $25 as a pledge of the bona fides of their tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if any tenderer fails or refuses to carry out his tender, should such tender be accepted.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. 586.—It is hereby notified that information has been received from the Military Authorities that Gun Practice will be carried out as uuder:-
On Monday, the 20th September :-

From Stonecutters West and Central in a South-Westerly direction, at ranges
up to 10,700 yards, commencing at 9 a.m., and finishing at 1 p.m.
On Thursday, the 23rd September:-
From Pakshawan in a North-Easterly direction, at ranges up to 6,500 yards,
commencing at 7 p.m., and finishing at 10 p.m.
On Friday, the 24th September:-
From Stonecutters West in a Westerly direction, at ranges up to 10,700 yards,
commencing at 9 a.m., and finishing at 1 p.n.
If the weather is unfavourable on any of the above dates, practice will take place on the following day.
All ships, junks and other vessels are to keep clear of the range.
