OTICE is hereby given that LCI LUN (2) of No. 38 Lower Lascar
Row Victoria in the Colony of Hongkong and
also of Tai Hing Street (★BH) Kong Moon (I) in the Province of Kwong Tung(除東) China (中國) tmding
under the style or firm of the Po On Cheung firm joss stick merchant has on the 25th day of May, 1909, applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Marks of which the essential particulars are as follows viz. :—
"A" The representation of a family group consisting of a lady and gentleman and tive children playing in a garden the five children representing five sons of Glory: at the top of the family group are the Chinese characters (††) meaning “5 sons of Glory" and above the picture are two peacocks, one on either side, and between the peacocks are five circles, the two upper circles bearing the

Now we specially use this foreign label as a token of respect to the Gods. Customers are invited to recognize our label of 3 old men playing with "children and also to observe the "aroma of our juss sticks and they will make no mistake. Our firm is "established in Tai Hing Street Kong Moon Kwong Tang". At the foot of the platform is a flight of steps and on each side of the steps are the Chinese characters (

meaning goods genume, price mod- "erate and name famous all over the "world".
As his trade marks in the name of the said
LUI LUN who claims to be the sole proprietor thereof.
The said Trade Marks have been used by
the Applicant in respect of :-
Joss sticks, in Class 50.
Facsimiles of such Trade Marks can be seen at the Office of the Colonial Secretary of Hongkong and also at the Office of the under- signed.

Application for Registration of Trade Marks.
NOTIC is hereby given that JOHN PAL-
MER JUNR. & Co., of 49 & 51 East- cheap, London, England, Merchants, have on the 5th day of May, 1909, applied for the re- gistration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Marks :- 1. The device of a monkey mounted upon
a fowl.
2. The device of an elephant showering water through its trunk on a baby elephant in a tub,
in the name of JOHN PALMER JUNE, & Co. who claim to be the proprietors thereof.
Trade Mark Number I is intended to be used by the Applicants forthwith in respect of the following goods:—
Class 23.~(4.) Cotton yarn and sewing cot-
tou not on spools or reels. (b.) Sewing cotton on spools or
reels.

Trade Mark Number 1 has been used by the Applicants in respect of the following goods:- Cotton piece goods of all kinds, in Class
24, since August 1900. Cotton goods not included in Classes 23. 24 or 38, in Class 25, since 1900. Cloths and stuffs of wool, worsted or hair,
in Class 34, since 1900.
Woollen and worsted and hair goods not included in Classes 33 and 34, in Class 35, since 1906.
Trade Mark Number 2 is intended to be the following goods :-
used by the Applicants forthwith in respect of
