15. Receipts or Discharge given for the payment of money, or in acquittal of a debt paid in money or otherwise, when the sum received, discharged, or acquitted exceeds $10, .......5 cents,
Exemptions.--Letter acknowledging the arrival of a Currency or Promissory Note, Bill of Exchange, or any Security for Money, Receipt or Debit Note for the Pre- mium on a duly stamped Policy of Insurance. Receipts for pay and allowances of persons in the service of the Imperial or Colonial Government whether Civil, Naval, or Military,"
3.-(1.) Simple interest at the rate of 8% par aunum shall be payable upon all sums recoverable under Article 43 should the same not be paid within six months after the date of the death of the deceased.
(2.) The Collector of Stamp Revenue may remit such interest where the amount appears to him to be so small as not to repay the expense and trouble of calculation and
account.
4. This Ordinance shall come into operation on the Est -day of January, 1910,
