PART II.

Transfer of certain duties from the Registrar General to the Head of the Sanitary Department.

7. The Vaccination Ordinance 1890 is hereby amended by the substitution of the words "Head of the Sanitary Department" for the words "Registrar General" wherever occurring in the Ordinance or in the Schedule thereto.

8.. The Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance 1896 is hereby amended as follows : →

(1.) The words "Head of the Sanitary Depart- ment" are substituted for the words "Registrar General" wherever appearing in the Ordinance or in the Schedule thereto.

(2.) Sub-section (2) of section 3 is amended

(a) by the deletion of the words "by the As- sistant Registrar General or" in the second and third lines;

(b) by the deletion of the word “other” in the

third line:

(e) by the substitution of the words "

Sanitary Department for the words "Registrar General's Department" in the third line,

(3.) Section 13 is amended

(a) by the substitution of the words “ Head of

Secretary of the Sanitary Board in the

first line of sub-section (1) ;.

(b) by the deletion of the words "unless acting under the written sanction or direction of the Sanitary Board" in the first and second lines of sub-section (2).

(4.) Sub-section (2) of section 14 is amended by the deletion of the words "or a paper con- taining the written sanction or direction to bury of the Secretary of the Sanitary Board in the fourth and fifth lines.,

(5.) Section 26 is repealed.
