No. 177.-It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Saturday, the 20th instant, for the repairs of the Government Steam Launch Sybil.

Specifications can be obtained at the Government Marine Surveyor's Office. Repairs to be executed to the satisfaction of the Government Marine Surveyor.

Contractor to supply a suitable launch for the use of the Health Officer of the Port during the repairs and to be responsible for the safety of the launch Sybil in case of fire or hurricane.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS, NO. 106..

Shoaling of Min River Entrance.

THE entrance of the River Min between No. 1 and No. 2 Buoys, and also inside No. 3 Buoy has shoaled considerably since the last survey in October 1906. This will probably be remedied when the S. W. monsoon has set in sufficiently to allow of the washing away of the sand driven in during the N. E. monsoon.

A new survey will be made when the weather permits and the results thereof will be duly published. Meanwhile it is inadvisable for vessels drawing more than 23 feet to enter the port.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Rosina Rock Light-boat has been shifted 1 cable East from her former position, and is now moo:ed about 2 cables S.S.E. from Rosina Rock in 27 feet of water.
