An Ordinance to authorise for public purposes the Reclamation of certain portions of the Crown foreshore and sea bed situate in Hung- hom Bay in the Colony of Hongkong and to validate such reclamation as has heretofore taken place.

WHEREAS a Government Railway is in course of con- struction in the Colony between Tsim Sha Tsni in Kow- loon and Lo Fu Ferry in the New Territories and it is necessary for the purposes of such construction that certain Crown foreshore and sea bed should be reclaimed.
And whereas certain reclamation has heretofore taken place and it is desirable to validate and legalise the same.
Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:- *www
1. This Ordinance may be cited as "The Hunghom Short title. Bay Reclamation Ordinance 1909 ".
2. (.) It shall be lawful for the Governor for the pur- poses of the said Government Railway now in course of construction between Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon and Lo Fu Ferry in the New Territories to reclaim enclose and fill up all the Crown foreshore and sea bed situate in the Colony the limits and boundaries of which are delineated generally in pink colour upon a plan sigued by Graves William Eves, Chief Resident Engineer Kowloon Canton Railway and countersigned by the Director of Public Works dated the 24th day of February, 1909, and deposited in the Land Registry Office.
(b.) The Governor may at any time for the purposes aforesaid reclaim enclose and fill up such further Crown foreshore and sen bed as is contiguous to the said delineated limits and boundaries as he may deem expedient so long as such further reclamation shall not extend beyond the limits delineated generally by the fine in yellow colour upon the said plan and marked “limits of deviation ”.

4. 5. Nothing in this Ordinance contained shall derogate Saving of from any of the powers or rights of the Crown in rights of the respect of the said foreshore or sea bed.
