APPOINTMENTS, &c.
No. 29.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to re-appoint under the Medical Registration Ordinance, 1884, (Ordinance No. 1 of 1884), FREDERIC OSMUND STEDMAN, M.D., to be a Member of the Medical Board and to serve as Secretary of the Board with effect from the 7th December last.

No. 30.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to make the following appoint- ment under Section 7 of the Public Health and Buildings Amendment Ordinance, 1903, (Ordinance No. 23 of 1903):--
Acting Inspector GEORGE SIM to be a Sanitary Inspector for Aberdeen.

No. 31.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint ARTHUR GEORGE MURCHISON FLETCHER to be Deputy Official Receiver with effect from this date.
21st January, 1909.
No. 32. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint ARTHUR GEORGE MURCHISON FLETCHER to act as Assistant Colonial Secretary and Clerk of Councils during the absence on leave of CECIL CLEMENTI or until further notice, with effect from the 25th instant.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.
No. 33.-It is hereby notified that WILLIAM BUTLER WRIGHT of Canton in the Empire of China, has complied with the requirements of Ordinance 6 of 1898, for the regis- tration in this Colony of his Mark No. 3 of 1909, as applied to Medicinal remedies, in Class 3; and that the same has been duly registered.
No. 34. It is hereby notified that W. R. LOXLEY AND COMPANY of Hongkong, Mer- chants, have complied with the requirements of Ordinance 6 of 1898, for the registration in this Colony of their Mark No. 4 of 1909, as applied to Cotton piece goods of all kinds, in Class 24; and that the same has been duly registered.
No. 35.-It is hereby notified that H. SKOTT AND COMPANY have complied with the requirements of Ordinance 6 of 1898, for the registration in this Colony of their Mark No. 5 of 1909, as applied to Flour, in Class 42; and that the same has been duly registered.
No. 36. It is hereby notified that Messrs. MEYER & Co. have by assignment transferred their thirty (30) trade marks (twenty-three (23) registered on the 7th March, 1893, in respect of Goods in Classes 1, 10, 13, 14, 15, 24, 34, 40 and 48 and seven (7) registered on the 21st March, 1908, all in respect of Goods in Class 24) to Messrs. GARRELS BORNER AND COMPANY of Victoria, Hongkong, and elsewhere.
