EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

No. 18.

Regulation made by the Governor-in-Council under Section 3 of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1875, (Ordinance No. 2 of 1875), this 14th day of January, 1909.

The Police Magistrates' Department shall be, and the same is hereby excluded from the operation of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1875, on Saturday, the 23rd day of January,

1909.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

No. 19.-It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under Section 8 of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1875, (Ordinance No. 2 of 1875), Friday and Saturday, the 22nd and 23rd January, to be observed as Public Holidays in the Colony.

No. 20.-It is hereby notified that THOMAS DE LA RUE AND COMPANY, LIMITED, Of 110, Bunhill Row, in the City of London, England; Manufacturers, have complied with the requirements of Ordinance 6 of 1898, for the registration in this Colony of their Mark No. 1 of 1909, as applied to Stationery of all kinds including Fountain Pens, in Class 39; and that the same has been duly registered.

No. 21.-It is hereby notified that PEEK, FREAN & CO., LIMITED, of 158, Drummond Road, Bermondsey, London, England; Manufacturers, have complied with the requirements of Ordinance 6 of 1898, for the registration in this Colony of their Mark No. 2 of 1909, as applied to Substances used as food or as ingredients in food, in Class 42; and that the same has been duly registered.

No. 22. It is hereby notified that Letters Patent dated the 6th January, 1909, have been granted to Messrs. LEWIS CHARLES MERRELL, Chemist, IRVING SEAWARD MERRELL, Mechanical Engineer, WILLIAM BUELL GERE, Gentleman, of North Franklin Street, Corner of Plum Street, Syracuse, County of Onondaga, State of New York, and MERRELL-SOULE COMPANY, a corporation organised and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of New York, and located and having its principal place of business at the City of Syracuse, State of New York, all in the United States of America, for An Improved Process or Method for Recovering in the Form of Dry Powder the Solids contained in Liquids or Semi-Liquids.
