3. The power to discontinue contributions to the sinking fund will not apply to debenture loans redeemable by annual drawings or by purchase in the market, because in the case of such loans the contributions to the sinking fund may under the principal Ordinance be used for redemption by annual drawings or by purchase.

4. It was unnecessary to make the provisions of this Ordinance apply to the Public Works Loan Ordinance. 1927, which has just become law, because in the case of that loan the fund will not become potentially full in five years, and after five years there will be an unlimited power of redemption by purchase or by drawings.

An Ordinance to amend the Medical Registra-

tion Ordinance, 1884.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Medical Regis- Short title. tration Amendment Ordinance, 1927.

2. Section 4 of the Medical Registration Ordinance, Amendment 1881, is amended as follows :-

(a) The words “ Principal Civil Medical Officer'

are substituted for the words "Colonial Secre- tary in the first line thereof and the section is re-numbered sub-section (1).

(b) The following sub-sections are added

(2) Every person registered shall furnish to the Medical Board an address within the Colony at which all notices from the Medical Board may be served on him.

(3) This address shall be entered in the register.

3. Section 5 of the Medical Registration Ordinance, Amendment 1884, is amended by the substitution of the words "Prin- of Ordinance

5. Section 7 of the Medical Registration Ordinance, Amendment 1884, is amended by the insertion of the words "Subject of Ordinance

No. 1 of 1884, to the provisions of section 21 of the Stamp Ordinance, s. 7. 1921," immediately before the word "every "in the first line thereof, and by the addition of the words "Ordinance No. 8 of 1921." to the marginal note thereto.

6.-(1) Section 13 (3) of the Medical Registration Amendment Ordinance, 1884, is amended by the substitution of the of Ordinance words "Principal Civil Medical Officer" for the words No. 1 of 1884,

Colonial Secretary " in the second and third lines

thereof.
