KOWLOON-CANTON RAILWAY,

BRITISH SECTION.

No. S. 77. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Coal to Kowloon-Canton Railway", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Thursday, the 21st day of April, 1927, for the supply of Locomotive Coal to the Kowloon-Canton Railway for the period of one year from the 1st June, 1927.

No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $250 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person refuses to carry out his tender, if accepted.

The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract and to give security in the sum of $5,000 in cash to be deposited with the Colonial Treasurer for the due and faithful performance of the terms of such contract.

For forms of tender and further particulars apply to the Manager, Railway Offices, Kowloon.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No S. 68. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate which should be clearly marked "Tender for Cheung Sha Wan Market (Temporary)", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 4th day of April, 1927, for the construction of a market at Cheung Sha Wan, New Kowloon together with any necessary work in connection therewith.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
