NOTICE TO MARINERS.
Information has been received from Officer-in-Charge Electric Lights, Wellington Barracks, to the effect that commencing on 17th January and continuing until 26th February, practices will be carried out with the Defence Electric Lights on most even- ings in conjunction with the Royal Artillery Training.
The lights will be in action usually from dusk until 9 p.m., though occasionally when firing takes place they may continue in action until about 11 p.m.

No. S. 377.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Mechanical Engineer's Office, Hung Hom", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 17th day of January, 1927, on behalf of the Kowloon-Canton Railway (British Section).
Drawings may be seen and the Specification and full particulars obtained by appli- cation to the Railway Head Office, Kowloon, on the deposit of a fee of $20 with the Colonial Treasurer which will be refunded on the submission of bona fide tender together with the return of the Specification intact.
The Contractor must deliver in with his Tender the schedule of quantities and prices, which shall be fully filled up and shall set forth the items of which such estimate is composed, and shall contain his complete estimate.
The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract in the usual form of the Government Contracts and to give security for the sum of $1,000 in a bond with two sureties conditional for the due and faithful performance of the terms of such
contract.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
