No. 750.– His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the appoint- ment and promotion of Lieutenant FRASER SYME THOMSON to the rank of Captain in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from the 16th December, 1927.

No. 751.——His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under the provisions of section 2 of the Printers and Publishers Ordinance, 1927, Ordinance No. 25 of 1927, the Secretary for Chinese Affairs as Registrar of Newspapers and the Registrar of Supreme Court as Deputy Registrar of Newspapers.

No. 752.–His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under section 3 of the Dentistry Ordinance, 1914, Ordinance No. 16 of 1914, Dr. FREDERICK THOMPSON to be a Member of the Dental Board, with effect from the 21st December, 1927.

To the Owner of Wong Nei Chong Lot No. 124.

No. 753.-It is hereby notified that the Governor in Council having decided that the resumption of the property registered in the Land Office as Wong Nei Chong Lot No. 124 is required for a public purpose and in the opinion of the Governor private negotiations for the purchase thereof having failed, or it appearing that the owners are absent from the Colony or cannot be found, the said property and all rights, easements and appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining will be resumed by the Crown on the expiration of four months from the publication of this notice and thereupon such compensation in respect of such resumption will be paid as may be awarded in the manner provided by the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900.
