The rainfall for the month of October at the Botanical Gardens was 6ins. 46 on 7 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 5ins. -52 on 8 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was 4ins. 53 on 8 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 691 at 3h. and 4h. on the 7th. The maximum squall velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 60 miles per hour at 5h. 25m. on the 7th.
