The rainfall for the month of July at the Botanical Gardens was 21ins. 85 on 26 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 16ins. 71 on 23 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was 29ins. 64 on 17 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 28ins. 946 at 3h. 15m on the 25th. The maximum squall velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 72 miles per hour at 3h. 20. on the 25th.
