Regulation made by the Captain Superintendent of Police under section 19 of the Police Force Ordinance, 1900, Ordinance No. 11 of 1900, and approved by the Governor in Council on the 10th day of August, 1927.
The table to regulation 3 of the Police Regulations, set forth on page 282 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1844-1925, is hereby rescinded and the following table of classification of offences is substituted therefor :-
Class A.
1.-ABSENCE WITHOUT LEAVE.
Absent from duty.
2.—CORRUPT PRACTICE.
(a) Receiving any bribe.
(b) Failing to account for or to make prompt and true return of dny money
or property received by him in his official capacity.
(e) Directly or indirectly soliciting or receiving or attempting to receive '
any gratuity, present, subscription or testimonial without the con- sent of the Captain Superintendent of Police.
3.-DAMAGE TO GOVERNMENT PROPERTY.
(a) Wilfully causing any waste, loss or damage to any article of clothing or accoutrement or to any book, document or other property of the Government served out to him or used by him or entrusted to his
care.
(b) Failing to report any loss or damage as above.
4.-DISCREDITABLE CONDUCT.
(a) Acting in a disorderly manner or any manner prejudicial to discipline
or likely to bring discredit on the reputation of the police force.
(b) Fighting in a public place when on duty.
(c) Being found in an opium divan, gambling house or brothel.
5.- DISOBEDIENCE OF ORDERS.
Wilfully disobeying any lawful order written or otherwise.
6.--DRUNKENNESS.
While on or off duty, unfit for duty through drink.
7. -FALSEHOOD OR PREVARICATIÓN.
(a) Knowingly making or signing any false statement in any official docu-
ment or book.
(b) Wilfully making any false, misleading or inaccurate statement.
8.-INSUBORDINATE CONDUCT.
(a) Insubordinate to his superior officer by word, act or demeanour. (b) Assaulting any other member of the force.
9.-MALINGERING.
Feigning or exaggerating any sickness or injury with a view to evading
duty.
10.-MISCONDUCT.
(a) Desertion from the Force.
(b) Cowardice.
(c) Sleeping when on duty.
(d) Assaulting any person other than another member of the force.
