No. 411. It is notified for information that Captain CHARLES HENRY STEELE, M.C., A.D.C., is granted leave of absence in the United Kingdom from 23rd July to 30th September, 1927.

No. 412.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to reappoint Mr. ABBAS EL ARCULLI to be a Member of the Board of Education for a further period of two years, with effect from the Sth of July, 1927.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

To the Owners of the portion of the Kai Tack Reclamation delineated on a plan deposited at the Office of the Director of Public Works, dated 18th May, 1927,

and open to inspection at such office.

No. 418.-It is hereby notified that the Governor in Council having lecided that the resumption of the portion of the Kai Tack Reclamation at or near Kowloon City, more particularly delineated on the plan above referred to and to which it was proposed to give the following Lot numbers, that is to say, New Kowloon Inland Lots Numbers 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 226, 229, 230, 231,-232, 233, 234, 235, 240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245 and 246, is required for a public purpose and private negotiations for the purchase thereof having, in the opinion of the Governor, failed, the said property and all rights, easements and appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining will be resumed by the Crown on the expiration of four months from the publication of this notice and there- upon such compensation in respect of such resumption will be paid as may be awarded in the manner provided by the Crown Lands Resumption.
