APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 174. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. HENRY THOMAS JACKMAN to act as Director of Public Works during the absence on leave of the Hon. Mr. HAROLD THOMAS CREASY or until further notice, with effect from 19th March, 1927.

No. 175. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, Mr. HENRY THOMAS JACKMAN to be a Member of the Executive and Legislative Councils, during his tenure of office as acting Director of Public Works, with effect from 19th March, 1927.

21st March, 1937.

No. 176.-His Excellency the Governor in accordance with section 10 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, Ordinance No. 1 of 1903, has been pleased to appoint the Honourable Mr. HENRY THOMAS JACKMAN to act as Vice-President of the Sanitary Board during the absence on leave of the Hon. Mr. HAROLD THOMAS Creasy or until further notice, with effect from 19th March, 1927.

No. 177.His Excellency the Governor has, under section 3 of the Vaccination. Ordinance, 1923, been pleased to appoint Mr. Ho LONG-HYN (fi) to be a Public Vaccinator.

No. 178.

Regulation made by the General Officer Commanding the Troops, with the approval of the Governor, under and in accordance with section 11 of the Volunteer Ordinance, 1920, Ordinance No. 2 of 1920, this 25th day of March, 1927.

The following paragraphs are substituted for paragraphs (13) and (14) which appear in Government Notification No. 602 of 1924, and were added to regulation 3 in the First Schedule to the Volunteer Ordinance, 1920,----

(13) Any officer of the corps whose transference to the reserve of officers is approved by the Governor, and every officer of the corps who shall be absent from the Colony for a longer period than fifteen consecutive months shall be transferred to the reserve of officers. The said period of fifteen consecutive months may be wholly or in part prior to the date of this regulation.

(14) An officer who shall have been transferred to the reserve of officers by reason of absence as aforesaid and shall thereafter return to the Colony may be tranferred to the active list or retained in the reserve of officers at the discretion of the administrative commandant of the corps.
