LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.

No. 148.-His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinances :-

Ordinance No. 9 of 1926. An Ordinance to authorize the Appropriation of a

Supplementary Sum of Eight hundred and thirty-two thousand two hundred and forty-nine Dollars and fifty-two Cents to defray the Charges of the year 1925.

Ordinance No. 15 of 1926.--An Ordinance to amend the Volunteer Ordinance,

1920.

Ordinance No. 16 of 1926.—An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Seventeen million seven hundred and forty-one thousand five hundred and forty-three Dollars to the Public Service of the year 1927.

No. 149.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to make the following promotions and appointments in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps :-

Second Lieutenant KENNETH SINCLAIR MORRISON to be Lieutenant, with effect

from the 8th March, 1927.

Second Lieutenant JOHN NORRIE OWEN to be Lieutenant, with effect from the

8th March, 1927.

Second Lieutenant ARTHUR HARRY PENN to be Lieutenant, with effect from the

8th March, 1927.

Second Lieutenant REGINALD ROBERT Davies, M.C., M.M., to be Lieutenant, with

effect from the 8th March, 1927.

Lance-Sergeant STANLEY JARVIS, M.C., to be Second Lieutenant, with effect from

the 11th March, 1927.
