No. 110. With reference to Government Notification No. 270 of 7th May, 1920, it is hereby notified that after 1st March, 1927, Non-Local Storm Signals according to the China Seas Storm Signal Code will be displayed on the roof of No. 49 Godown of the Hong Kong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown Company, as well as on the Signal Hill, Kowloon.

Hong Kong Time Signals and Weather Reports.

No. 111. With reference to Notification No. 428 published in the Hong Kong Government Gazette No. 34 of 13th August, 1926, it is notified for general information that from 1st April, 1927, Wireless Time Signals now emitted by Stonecutters W/T Station will be emitted by Cape d'Aguilar at the same times and on the same wavelength, using interrupted Continuous Wave (I. C. W).

The Service for the exchange of meteorological traffic between ships at sea and Hong Kong at present handled by Cape d'Aguilar (V.P.S.) on 600 metres will, from the 1st April, 1927, be transferred to the Royal Observatory W/T Station, using the tem- porary call sign V.P.S.3.

The Station will receive and transmit on 800 metres using

Position of V.P.S.3.--Lat. 22-18-13.2 North.

Long. 114-10-18.7 East.

The Transmitter is of the Valve Type, 1.5 K.W. size, using coupled circuits sharply tuned.

The Station is open for Meteorological Traffic only and will keep watch on 800 metres continuously excepting when engaged on long wave reception at the following periods :-

0055-0100

0155-0210

0254-0315

0755-0806

1255-1300

Weather reports will be broadcast on 800 metres I.C.W. by V.P.S.3 at 0400 and 1200 G.M.T. and will be repeated one hour later i.e. at 0500 and 1300 G.M.T.

Typhoon warning will, when first issued, be broadcast by V.P.S. on 600 metres Spark, and thereafter be repeated on 800 metres I.C.W. by V.P.S.3 at 18 minutes past every hour, and also on 300 metres telephony at 48 minutes past every hour.
